Back To Church Sunday – Sep. 16!!!

THANK YOU!
Last week Sunday we had cupcakes after the service.  Apparently we didn’t eat enough of them because there were almost 30 extra!  So we thought of who would benefit from these scrumptious treats.  Mrs. Cooper, a Kindergarten teacher at Lakeside Elementery School, said her class was so thankful for the cupcakes they had at afternoon snack time.  Great job people!

BACK TO CHURCH SUNDAY
So many people at Celebration have come back after long “vacations” from church.  It was the encouragement and invitation of a friend or co-worker which led them back.  Do your part by inviting your friend or family member back to church on September 16.  We trust God will do his part too.

YOUTH MINISTRIES KICK-OFF
Our summer events are over and the school year has started.  On September 16 we will start our Youth Ministries for 2018-2019.  We have great events organized and faith-building lessons planned.  It all begins with a potluck picnic after church.  See you there!

Celebration Midweek – Sep. 5

DON’T JUDGE ME!
“Our goal is restoration, not condemnation.  Our motivation is for God’s glory and the common good, not for our own moral superiority.  Otherwise, we slip into judgmentalism.  And it’s contagious.”  This is a quote from Shiao Chong which didn’t make the Sunday message but is well worth consideration.

2018 Summer Ending Issue

LABOR DAY
The American Labor Day honors the American labor movement and the contributions that workers have made to the strength, prosperity, laws and well-being of the country.  As we celebrate on Labor Day, let us also not forget how our great God is the main source of our country’s strength, prosperity, laws, and well-being.  Psalm 33:12 says, Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lordthe people he chose for his inheritance.”

SUMMER ENDING CELEBRATION
Last Sunday, it was great to be with family and friends to eat together in the Worship area after church.  The Fellowship Team did a great job preparing for the event.  Doug and Eric did a great job with setting up the tables and chairs.  This was a great reminder that even good things need to come to a close.  Summer gives way to a school year and the change of seasons.  Hopefully you made good memories this summer.  If not, choose to live this school year on purpose and make the most of it.  May God bless this next season for you and give us all great stories to celebrate next time we eat together!

3 Huge Things 2 Know for This Week

WHO, ME WORRY?
Here is a quote which didn’t make it to the sermon on Sunday but may be helpful for this week.  “The biggest troubles you face in life are those which never come.”  May your week be filled with trust in God for all he has done, all he does every day, and all he will do for you!  (Philippians 4:6 – Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything.”)

SUMMER ENDING HOT DOG ROAST
We know you are sad but summer is closing out!  Invite a friend August 26 as we celebrate a great summer and look forward to a great fall season!  Bring a dessert to share.  (Maybe make a dessert for your friend you will bring!)
