Fun Things to Know This Week – February 14

Related imageCHANGES COMING!
Here are a few changes coming at Celebration.

  1. Beginning on February 24, we will start broadcasting the Sunday Worship Service on the Celebration Facebook page instead of Pastor Matt’s.  This will point people to more things happening at Celebration too.
  2. We are sending out the Prayer Requests on Tuesday each week and the Celebration Midweek on Thursday.  The large email was too much in one email and often got overlooked.  We hope this is more manageable.

YOU NEED A GROUP!
Small groups are forming and set to begin in early March.  Groups are where people can be more genuine and encouraging to others in their journey with Jesus.  Sunday morning worship is too big to do this.  Contact Brenda Swanson or Pastor Matt about joining a small group.

HEALTHY CHURCH MESSAGE SERIES
Have you created your “Intentional Plan” yet?  (This was the assignment from last Sunday morning from Colossians 3:1-14.)  Let me encourage you to make your plan to “GROW in Faith” for your own spiritual health.  You can revisit the service on our Youtube Channel by clicking HERE.  Your Intentional Plan includes:

  • My Sunday Worship
  • My Group: __________________________________
  • My Growing Partner(s): _______________________________________
  • My Alone Time: _____________________________________________

Celebration Midweek – “Spring” Edition

After a week of snow and deep cold, it seems like spring!  Melting snow and temperatures in the 40’s!  We know winter is still here but we know spring is coming!  Hang in there!  Here are some things to keep your focus till then!

GAME NIGHT
Everyone is invited to this great event! WHY?  Because everyone needs a little more fun in their life!  Join us this Friday, February 8, 6:30-8:30PM at church!  Bring your favorite game, a snack, and a few friends who need to have fun in their life!  It’ll be the best time you have all winter!

BOOK CLUB
Our next book is “Rules of Civility” by Amor Towles.  We will meet on Tuesday, February 12 at 6:30 at Bob Evans on Sternberg.  Contact Brian or Sue Vredevoogd for more info at bvrede13@aol.com.

PRAYERS
Prayer is so important for the life of a church community.  Each week in the Weekly email we include prayers from Celebration, loved ones, and one (1) nation to pray for each week.  Going forward, we hope to send out the prayer requests on Monday each week instead of Wednesday.  This way we can pray about the various needs of God’s people during the entire week.  Thanks for taking these requests seriously each week!

SMALL GROUPS FORMING!
We are always trying to make Celebration smaller!  This sounds strange but smaller groups are where people get to know others as they really are and encourage people in their journey with Jesus.  Sunday morning worship is too big to do this.  Contact Brenda Swanson or Pastor Matt about joining a small group.

HEALTHY CHURCH MESSAGE SERIES
Keeping your body healthy is difficult.  So is keeping a church healthy.  But no one wants to be part of a dysfunctional and unhealthy church.  The message series we are in looks at the key components to a “Healthy Church”, how it affects us, and what our role is to keep it this way.
