Celebrating the Midweek

RE-OPENING ON JUNE 21ST
We are re-opening this Sunday,  June 21st.  It will look and be a little different from what normally happens here at Celebration.  The Fireside Room is blocked off.  Doors will be opened at 10:20 am.  There will be hand sanitizer. and masks available for those who need one (we understand that not everyone can wear one medically.)  Please wear one in love if you are able. There are offering boxes spread around, and there are not rows of chairs.  There will be no Oasis or nursery, but there will be coloring pages and children’s bulletins for them. After the service, you can congregate
outside and talk to people.    On-line bulletins will still be offered for the time being.

COUNCIL
It is that time of year again when we have elders and deacons that have fulfilled their time of service.  We are in need of three people.  If you are willing to fulfill either position, or you know of someone that you thing would be an asset to one of them, please let Paul Pluger know.

THIS WEEK AT CELEBRATION

NEW SERIES: “AWAKE MY SOUL-A JOURNEY THROUGH PSALMS.”
People all around seem to feel so empty inside, hollowed out shells of who they want to be.  Oh that there were words of hope to awaken our souls and make us alive again.  In this series we focus on how the Psalms help us engage our emotions with the character and attributes of God.  Only in our God can our souls be truly awakened!

STAY IN TOUCH WITH PEOPLE
Would a Wednesday Facebook Live or ZOOM Meeting work for you?
Would you commit to call 1 person from church each day?
Would you pray through the directory, 1 page per day.
Do you have feedback from the online services for the Worship Team?
Do you have any needs we can help with? (Physical, financial, emotional, spiritual)
How can we pray for you?

FOOD TRUCK
People are struggling now with the impact of Covid-19. I have the sign-up sheet from the information booth. We have about 10 people on it.  Please email Paul Pluger, or Mindy Gorter, to see if we can get more people to volunteer, and make this happen soon to help the people in need.

BOOK CLUB
The next book is “Watch Me Disappear,” by Janelle Brown.  During this time of Stay Safe, and Stay Home, this would be something to help fill the hours.  The tentative date is May 6th, as of now, so hopefully there can be a “face to face” by then.
