This Week at Celebration

APPROVAL IS NEEDED BY THURSDAY
We are grateful for Amie Anderson, Connie Cerminaro, and Paul Pluger for their service as leaders at Celebration for the last 3 years.  Council has compiled a list of nominees of elders and deacons to replace them.  Members of Celebration, you are asked to only state your support in favor or against this list of leadership nominees. Please have your vote to Pastor Matt at matt@celebrationmuskegon.org before Thursday, August 6.  During the worship service on August 9, we will draw the names of 2 elders and 1 deacon from a basket.  Financial statements are available at the church.

WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY
The next Women’s Bible Study will be August 12 in Sandy Hazelmyer’s back yard at 10 am.  It will be held in her back yard, so there can be the appropriate social distancing.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT PRAYER MEETING
Wednesday Night Prayer meeting will be meeting this week at 6:45 in classroom

BOOK CLUB
The next book is “The Rent Collector”, by Camron Wright.  It is  August 12 at 6:30 p.m. on Brenda Swanson’s deck.  Please bring your own food.

SERIES STARTING SUNDAY:
I’m tired of the same worn out promises of satisfaction which never live up to the hype.  I’m done with being continually disappointed by possessions or people which never bring lasting contentment. I’ve Had ENOUGH!  Join us in our new series from Ecclesiastes as we discover the only source of true fulfillment, meaning, and hope in life.

SUPPER CLUBS
I have gotten the sign-up sheets made so they will be available Sunday.  There are three:  Potluck group, Restaurant group and Let’s cook together group.  They will be at the information booth for a month or so.

FOOD TRUCK
Muskegon Cooperating Churches have been contacted.  We put in for the date of August 29th.  They have to send it in for approval to Grand Rapids. Still waiting to hear a reply.
