MANY THINGS HAPPENING THIS WEEK

 

tt2TRUNK OR TREAT:  We are doing the Trunk or Treat on THIS Saturday, October 30th 6pm-8pm. We are going to have cider and donuts for those that come.  Pastor Matt is planning on bringing his firepit so we can have a fire.  

Let's Talk (3)CONTINUING SERIESLet’s Talk: Talking with a good friend brings joy to life and refreshes the soul.  What if prayer was this simple?  Jesus gives us a daily invitation to talk with him in prayer.  Join us during this series as we grow in this single most significant ongoing experience in the life of a Christian.  This week: Acceptance.

c1ANNUAL CHILI COOK-OFF: This year’s annual Chili Cook-Off was a big success. The winners were…..Carla Eenigenburg and Linda Bergman.  Thank you so much to the Fellowship Team for hosting this annual event.

hand to hand 2 (2)_LIHAND 2 HAND: Still on standby due to the construction at Campbell, the staff is running behind on a few things.  There will be no pack for Hand 2 Hand this week  due to this.  Terri and Sheri will keep us informed when they are given more information.

Educated (2)BOOK CLUBThe next book is “Educated” by Tara Westover. It will be    November 17th at the Russ’ Restaurant on Henry Street.

oasisOASIS:  Oasis will continue  on Sunday, October 31. It will be going every other week in the beginning, possibly switching to  every week, shortly.

food driveTHANKSGIVING FOOD DRIVE: This year the deacons will be holding a Thanksgiving food drive for the Muskegon Rescue Mission. There is a table set up between the two classrooms for this event. It is starting this Sunday, and will continue for 2-3 weeks.  The things the Rescue mission are asking for are the following: Stuffing, Mac and Cheese, Corn Cans, Green Beans, Sweet Potatoes Cans, Mashed Potatoes, and Corn Meal Muffin Mix.
