Sunday is spring forward, so don’t forget to set your clocks ahead one hour. You don’t want to be late for the last sermon in ” What is your Status?”
WORSHIP AND ARTS
There will be no rehearsal on Wednesday night. They will be rehearsing again on Wednesday, March 11th.
FOOD TRUCK
We are looking for volunteers to help with a food truck. The need is great in Muskegon County, and we are looking to fulfill one of our mission statements “Serving those we meet” (Matthew 25:17-30.) Anyone that is interested, please contact Paul Pluger. We need around 35 people willing to volunteer.
LOVE INC
Love Inc. is in need of some volunteers at their clearing house and with Play and Learn. If anyone is interested, please contact Linda Bergman, our Love Inc liaison.
CARE PACKAGES FOR OUR STUDENTS
There are three shoe boxes for letters, notes, and snacks, set up again for our college students. The boxes are so Anika, Ivy, and River know we are here supporting them at college. We also want to support Alex Gaskin, who is joining the Army. His box is just for cards and letters, as that is the only thing he can get at basic training. The boxes will be out between 2/16-3/1, so Sunday is the last day.
NEW SMALL GROUPS ARE FORMING
We are at the time of year where we are looking to form new small groups. If you are interested, contact Brenda Swanson, or Pastor Matt know. We are looking at one on Tuesday nights and one on Wednesday nights.
SEEKERS SMALL GROUP
The seekers small group’s next meeting will be March 15th. You will be continuing Judges with chapters 8-16. Linda sent out an email on menu.
BOOK CLUB
The next book club book is “Once Upon a River,” by Diane Setterfield. Their next meeting is at IHOP on March 18th at 6:30 pm.
COUNCIL MEETING
The next council meeting is this Sunday, March 8th in the Fireside Room.
COMMUNITY GAME NIGHT
Our next community game night is March 13th, from 6:30-9:00 pm. Please bring your favorite game if you would like to play it. It is open to all ages, and please invite your friends. Bring a snack to share and something to drink. It is being led by the Youth Ministry.
NEW WELCOME TO CELEBRATION CLASS
We are holding a new Welcome to Celebration class for those interested in learning more about Celebration, and would like to become members. It will be held on March 15th, after the service in the Fireside Room. Anyone interested, please let Pastor Matt or Mindy know.
COUNCIL
It is that time of year again when we have elders and deacons that have fulfilled their time of service. We are in need of three people. If you are willing to fulfill either position, or you know of someone that you thing would be an asset to one of them, please let Paul Pluger know.
