Here Is What’s Happening This Week

NEW SERIES STARTING JULY 26:
I’m tired of the same worn out promises of satisfaction which never live up to the hype.  I’m done with being continually disappointed by possessions or people which never bring lasting contentment. I’ve Had ENOUGH!  Join us in our new series from Ecclesiastes as we discover the only source of true fulfillment, meaning, and hope in life.

CHURCH CARNIVAL
Due to everything going on in the world right now, it has been decided that this year’s Carnival is not going to take place due to safety reasons.  We look forward to                                                                    seeing you next year.

FOOD TRUCK
Paul and I are trying to get enough volunteers and try and get one scheduled in August. Paul is going to be contacting Andy O’Reily from the Muskegon Channel, and Mindy is contacting the local Boyscouts.  I have the sign-up sheet from the information booth, but I need to know for those that volunteered, if they still wish to participate.   Please email Paul Pluger, or Mindy Gorter,  if you are still willing to volunteer, and make this happen.

WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY
Sandy Hazelmyer has decided she would be willing to lead the Women’s Bible Study.  It would be in her back yard (so you would be able to safely social distance, and would have to be rescheduled due to rain.)  She does not live that far from church.  If you are                                                                          interested, please call her and let her know, or contact Mindy in the office, so she can let                                                          her know.  She is looking for a count of people so she can order books.

PRAISE TEAM REHEARSALS
Praise Team rehearsals have been cancelled until further notice.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT PRAYER MEETING
Wednesday Night Prayer meeting will be meeting this week at 6:45 in classroom 1.

BOOK CLUB
The next book is “A Prayer for Owen Meany,” by John    Irving.  The date is set for July 15th, at El Burrito Loco at 6:30 pm.

SUPPER CLUBS
I have gotten the sign-up sheets made so they will be available Sunday.  There are three: Potluck group, Restaurant group and Let’s cook together group.  They will be at the information booth for a month or so.

WELCOME TO CELEBRATION CLASS
We are holding a new Welcome to Celebration class for those interested in learning more about Celebration, and would like to become members.  We are looking at the later part of July.  Anyone interested, please let Pastor Matt or Mindy know.
