Celebration Midweek – Nov. 29

ADVENT – Advent is a time of awaiting Jesus coming into our world.  As Christians, we want to be ACTIVELY WAITING, to be fully present in the moment.  We know God is always working in our world to bring peace to his people.  May we all actively await Jesus in this Advent season and the year to come!

NEW DIRECTORY – We planto have a new pictorial directory out in a few weeks.  This is one of the ways we use to help people to connect with each other at Celebration.  Please contact Lynn Pluger or Pastor Matt to update your information.

ADOPT-A-PERSON – This year we are adopting individuals who have no family or family support: 5 students from a nearby Christian college and 4 homebound seniors.  The tags on our Giving Tree list some of their needs and also gift ideas.  Please wrap the gift and place the name tag on top.  We would like to have all the gifts at church by December 17.

PRAYERS
Pray for Mike Kalinowski’s daughter, Katie, who is having some medical issues.  She is in Blodgett Hospital.
Pray for the West Michigan Friendship Center which is trying to make a difference with Muslim immigrants in Grand Rapids.
Pray for Lacy Hentschel who is experiencing shoulder pains.
Pray for our college students who will be taking semester exams soon.
Pray for Lacy Hentschel’s friend Rachel after her emergency surgery this week.
Pray for those relationships are in turmoil.
Pray for those who are feeling low, rejected, and alone.  May God show them how they are priceless in his eyes.
Pray for peace in our world in a time when it seems so far away.
Praise God for Ean Yount, nephew of Terri Albrecht, who plans to be baptized on December 10.
Pray for Brenda Lange and the work of Orphan’s Unlimited in Mozambique.

World Missions Prayers: PRAY FOR GHANA

• Pray for the Ghanaian church to develop a missions vision for the unreached villages of the north and beyond.
• Pray for those who claim to be Christian but who do not have an authentic faith to be transformed by the power of the true gospel.
• Pray for the rapid spread of Islam to be thwarted.
