HAVE A BLESSED NEW YEAR

COMMUNITY PRAISE AND PRAYER EVENT
Join us  TONIGHT as we Praise God to ring in the New Year. This is a night of community worship through Praise, Prayer, and Testimonials. This event is open to all. Child care will be provided. Bring finger foods/snacks to share.  Event starts at 9:30 PM and goes into the we hours of the morning.

COMMUNITY EUCHRE NIGHT
Nothing to do once the holidays are over….Come and join us for a night of Euchre on January 10, from 6:30-8:30 PM. All are welcome. Bring a snack to share, and something to drink.  Open to all ages.

BOOK CLUB
The next book club book is “Burial Rites,” by Hannah Kent. Their next meeting is at Grand Traverse Pie Co. on January 7th at 6:30 pm.

SOUP AND SALAD LUNCHEON
January 19th, is the annual Soup and Salad Luncheon.  It will be in the Fireside Room after the service.  There is a sign-up sheet on the information table.

CANDIDATE FOR OUR DIRECTOR OF WORSHIP AND ARTS
We will be having one of our candidates for our Director of Worship and Arts lead worship on January 12th.   There will be a short question and answer period with her after the service.  This is an important step in filling the position, and everyone’s opinion is needed.  Please plan on attending.

COUNCIL MEETING
There is a council meeting on Sunday, January 12th.  It will have a little bit different of a format with a question and answer for our Director of Worship and Arts candidate being part of it, then will continue as normal.

HAND TO HAND UPDATE
We just wanted to let everyone know why we haven’t  printed a grocery list for donations yet.  We have been   delivering bags to 17 kids at Campbell school since the end of November.  The Hand 2 Hand organization bought us 40+ boxes of food in October to get us started.  Then in Mid  December, they delivered us another 32 boxes!  We have been so blessed by the organization.  We will keep the   congregation updated as to when we will need food donations.  Thank you for your Prayers:  Sheri and Sue.

SEEKERS SMALL GROUP
Seekers will be meeting this Sunday,  January 5th, after the service.  You will be continuing on with Joshua, chapters 9-17.

YOUTH MINISTRIES
The next meeting for our Youth Ministries is January 12th, from 6:00-7:30 pm.
